I've taken at least 3 different guitars to Brooks and Co at Savannah Guitar Lutherie and he did a marvelous job on all of them. Mainly set ups. Some minor repairs. Can't recommend them highly enough. Sometimes it takes a little while to get things back but the wait is worth it. The word is out that they do great work there so I'll gladly wait a little while to get things done well. Super nice people here too. In addition to Brooks being incredibly nice, everyone I've dealt with there has been great. UPDATE 12/17/24: I’ve taken in two more acoustic guitars to get new pickups put in since the original review. Did a killer job on both of them. This is a shoutout to Brooks, Trevor, and Joshua at Savannah Guitar Lutherie & Mercantile. In the past month I’ve been in a few times to have my ukulele and guitar set up and have only the brightest things to say about the experiences. Brooks, co-owner with Trevor, is super thoughtful and adept at managing multiple customers, phone calls, and deliveries all while still repairing guitars. The shop is welcoming and offers a fun place to meet and chat with musicians. As a woman who’s been playing music mostly solo for 20 years, this music shop is a breath of fresh air.
